Question - What should we bring for our charter?
Bring enough clothing to be comfortable. A good pair of deck shoes (no dark soles please) is a good safety tip.
Plan on bringing a cooler to leave in your vehicle for your catch. Your fish will be cleaned and bagged and ice
is available. All persons 17 or older will need a Michigan all species fishing license. Annual and day licenses are available at local sporting stores and bait shops or
online from the Michigan DNR website (see our Site Resources page for a link).
Question - How many fish can we keep?
The limit is 5 fish per person. This year an angler may keep 5 salmon (either Coho or Chinook or any combination thereof). A mixed bag limit may include steelhead, brown trout or lake trout to make a 5 fish limit per person, but no more than 3 fish in any species other than salmon.
Question - Where is Holland, Michigan?
The city of Holland is located on the west coast of Lake Michigan approximately 45 minutes west of Grand Rapids. There is a State Park located across the channel from our location where Lake Macatawa empties into Lake Michigan.
Question - Where can we stay in the area?
There are a number of motel, bed and breakfast and summer rental cottages in the area. Please see our links page
for more information or call the Captain for recommendations.
Question - Can you arrange for lunches and drinks for our group?
We are able to offer box lunches and refreshments from several local businesses
for a reasonable fee. Please contact the Captain for options and costs.
